long story long, this is me.

Ghostie Boy and me in Rosemary Beach, Florida

Hiking on Oahu, Hawai’i

Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, I traded my mountains for beaches and headed west to the University of San Diego for college. After graduating in 2013, I lived in Solana Beach while working for a PR company in social media and influencer management before joining an entrepreneur to manage, market, and produce events. Together, we founded a half marathon and 10k race. During this time, I fell in love with fitness and pursued my dream of becoming an indoor cycling instructor, a hobby I still love to this day.

In 2016, felt the call of Northern California and loaded up my car to move to San Francisco where I worked as a copywriter and content strategist at a boutique advertising agency — while teaching rockin’ spin classes to the beat of the music on the side. After a painful shoulder surgery, I had plenty of time to ruminate on the future and decided to venture even further west — this time to the island of Oahu, Hawaii. (I recently found my journal from when I was 10 years old. In it? “Someday, I’m going to move to Hawaii!” scribbled in gel pen. I did, making my inner little girl very proud.)

In Hawaii, I continued freelance writing while pursuing a career in the fitness industry. I received my NASM certification as a personal trainer and youth exercise specialist, working as a coach and trainer at Orange Theory, Titan Core Lagree Method Studio, and UFC Gym. I joined a group of fellow fitness professionals in opening the first F45 studios on the island, where we grew our original Kahala location into the #1 studio in the world (in memberships and ratings). We then went on to found F45 Pearlridge. I also helped open Body Balance where I taught indoor cycling and a self-created “Ass & Abs” fitness class.

Fate brought my now-husband and me together on Hawaii’s sunny shores, and I moved to Denver at the beginning of 2020 for what I thought would be a few short months before following him to Florida, where he was stationed with the military. We all know what 2020 brought, but it did lead me to a job working as a copywriter with a luxury travel club before making my next career move. I now work remotely as a freelance travel writer and copywriter and brand strategist for TinyWins branding agency. I live with my husband and our fuzzy German Shepherd, Ghost in Panama City Beach, Florida.

When I’m not working, you can find me in the gym, perfecting my margarita recipe, boating with friends, playing with Ghost at the beach, traveling to some far-off island to freedive, and tackling my goal of reading at least 40 books a year.
